Q:  Why are there blank or missing SNPs in my variance report?

ag5zfnJlc291cmNlLXFuYXITCxIGQW5zd2VyGICAgICT8ZgJDA Livewello FAQs Question: Why are there blank or missing SNPs in my variance report? Answer: Blank or missing SNPs on your #Livewello report could be due to any of the following:  1) The raw data was prepared by a genotype chip that did not contain those missing SNPs. For example In Novenber 2013, 23andMe changed the chip they use in processing genetic raw data. Even though the #LiveWello App still works with the old Chip(s), the number of SNPs on the current V4 Chip decreased from 9000,000 to 600,000 SNPs. This decrease in reported SNPs, affects anyone that returned their test kit as of Nov/Dec 2013. Since Livewello can only generate a report from the results in your Raw data, those whose Raw Data does not contain their results on certain SNPs will not be able to see their Phenotype. Whenever a SNP is not reported because it's not on you Raw Data, your Livewello report will display a double underscore "__" or  in the genotype column, or the letters "NG" (Not Genotyped) in the Phenotype column.  2) Your personal genomics company (23andMe, FTDNA etc) was unable to accurately determine your genotype at that gene location. In this type of situation, our report will display a double hyphen "--" or the letters "NC" in the genotype column. Contact you personal genomics testing company regarding this.  3) Your gene variance report was incompletely processed due to a technical issue. In this situation, no letters will be displayed in the report for this SNP. If this happens, please contact our support team at support@livewello.com. http://resqua.com/100005927200207/why-are-there-blank-or-missing-snps-in-my-variance-report
